Detralytics Consultants receive ARIA’s Brockett–Shapiro Actuarial Journal Award
          28/08/2019
FAQctuary, a new series of educational papers
          30/01/2020

We are pleased to announce that our next Lunch & Learn, dedicated to topics related to mortality, will take place on 12/11.

During this L&L, our Scientific Director, Michel Denuit, and our TCP Consultant, Samuel GBARI will focus on our 2017 DetraNote, which awarded them this year’s American Risk and Insurance Association’s Patrick Brockett and Arnold Shapiro Actuarial Journal Award.

This DetraNote tackles the issue of mortality in old age. The positioning of a portfolio mortality in relation to these tables is most often reliable for relatively young insureds because of the abundance of data available on this age group. At very advanced ages (beyond 90 or 100 years for example), the problem is more difficult to solve because the numbers in the portfolio generally become very small. During this session, Samuel & Michel will put forward a methodology to resolve this issue.

This subject will be supplemented by a methodological point of view on the valuation of life rights, given by our Scientific Directors.
