We are pleased to announce that our next Lunch & Learn, dedicated to Cyber Insurance will take place on February 25, 2021 from 12:30 to 13:30.
This session will be given in English by our Scientific Director and Director of the Statistical Institut of Université de Paris (ISUP), Olivier Lopez. It's is completely free and open to everyone. You'll earn 1 CPD points | 6 points PPC
In this L&L, we will discuss models and statistical methods that may help to identify which types of incident are insurable or not, and how the mutualization principle may be endangered by the systemic nature of the risk.
In a world increasingly dependent on digital tools, cyber-risk is an emerging threat for global economy. Since cyber-security engineering can never achieve a perfect protection against this risk, cyber-insurance products aim to provide economic repairs to the policyholders. They also play a role of prevention and assistance to the small business companies which may have difficulties to undertake the IT function on their own. Due to the fast and recent evolution of the risk, developing actuarial methods to build a viable cyber-insurance eco-system is a challenging task.
